MORE THAN A REVENGE STORY: BURN THE HOUSE DOWN

I've recently watched Burn the House Down on Netflix after one of my knitting students recommended it. It is a Japanese drama that has only eight episodes. Despite not having many episodes, it has a catchy storyline.

The story is about the quest of Anzu Mitarai to discover the truth behind the fire that occurred 13 years ago, destroyed her family's house, and therefore ended her parents' marriage. She has always been suspicious about her father's new wife, so she disguises herself as a housemaid named Shizuka Yamauchi to get closer to her and gain access to their home.

I'll stop here with the plot, so I don't give any spoilers. But I must tell you what I liked the most about this series. It's a short series perfect to watch all in one go on a lazy Sunday with your knitting project of the moment. But I recommend knitting something that doesn't require too much of your attention because of all the plot twists that happen often!

Although Anzu is driven by vengeance, the plot is more than that. It has romance and redemption after the true story is revealed.
