The Traveler Sweater has just been released and is already a big hit. It’s a cropped hoodie with a textured pattern of knit and purl rows that gives it a cozy feeling. The design is knit from the bottom up in the round except when you reach the yoke, where you should knit flat and join the shoulders with the three-needle bind-off technique. Then, you pick up stitches for the hood and the sleeves. If you’re not in the mood for a hood or want a more classical look, you can choose to follow the crew neck instructions.
The pattern is size-inclusive, ranging from 38” (96,5 cm) to 70” (178 cm) of bust measurement, and is designed to be worn with 6-10” (15-25.5 cm) of positive ease. It requires a sport-weight yarn and a gauge of 21.5 stitches and 39 rows. Check out our yarn suggestions below.
