Do you love speckled skeins but are never sure what to knit with them? Don’t worry! We’ve got your back! Stephen West’s newest release might be the solution to your problems.
Eyelet Burst is a beginner-friendly shawl with an interesting construction. It’s knit in garter stitch with a beautiful fade technique, which means that the yarn is the protagonist in this piece. And a plus: Stephen promises the shawl won’t fall off your shoulder due to its angular shape.
The pattern calls for fingering-weight yarn. The sample was knit with a BFL wool and nylon blend in 4 different colorways. You’ll need 400 yds (366 m) of each color, so one skein will probably be enough. Check out our yarn suggestions below!
