KNN IS DEAD! LONG LIVE KNITLEAKS!

Updated: Aug 25, 2023

We are sorry to hear about the passing of KNN (Knit Nara News), the first YouTube channel dedicated to reporting news in the crafting world. Despite being launched recently on June 6th, 2021, the channel quickly gained a loyal following among makers. KNN was created to address two significant requests from the crafting community: to gather information about ongoing craft events and to feature more live content and personalities.

The format of KNN was inspired by traditional newscasts, with all stories related to news from knitting, crochet, and other crafts (with a primary focus on knitting and crochet during its initial stages). The channel served as a valuable resource for makers to stay up-to-date on the latest happenings, trends, and events in the crafting world.

KNN Live

We have some exciting news to share with you. A new channel, KnitLeaks, will take over where KNN left off. KnitLeaks will continue to cover news and events in the crafting world but with a fresh and updated format. Our founder, Nara, will embark on a world tour to visit and interview essential players in the industry, festivals, and shops. This tour will be used to produce a special launch series for the first year of the KnitLeaks YouTube Channel.

We're thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated "Yarn Over the Globe" web series will debut with a new episode every Friday during its first season! You're in for a real treat as each episode takes you on a journey to a different location throughout Europe, showcasing the beauty of local knitting and crochet traditions. Plus, the series features interviews with local artists and artisans, giving you an intimate glimpse into their creative processes.

But wait, there's more! As our special treat to fans, we're also launching a Shorts series called "Humans of Fiber." These one-minute videos will take you on a whirlwind adventure throughout the fiberverse, introducing you to individuals passionate about the world of crafts.

With so much exciting content on the horizon, we can't wait to have you join us on this journey. Keep your eyes peeled for the first episodes of "Yarn Over the Globe" and "Humans of Fiber," coming soon to KnitLeaks!
