In the Gregorian calendar, the new year begins on January 1st. In the Chinese calendar, it's February 10th, and in the Portuguese knitters' calendar, the new year starts on January 6th. That's when the Winter Knit Along starts, an event organized by Rosários 4 in collaboration with designer Filipa Carneiro.
Rosários 4 has been an active and motivating presence in the craft community for almost 40 years, not only with the production of quality, on-trend yarns but also through the promotion of events that have become eagerly anticipated traditions.
Winter Knit Along is an example of Rosários 4's ability to start traditions. For the third year in a row, knitters can count on a new pattern to kick off the year.
This year's Winter Knit Along garment is the Caramelo Vest, an oversized cabled vest made with Bio-Wool, a 100% organic wool worsted-weight yarn. Bio-Wool comes in 50 g skeins of 82 m, is GOTS certified, and is part of the brand's Ecofriendly Collection catalog.
The GOTS certification, which Rosários 4 has had since 2018, is a guarantee that the entire textile process, from fiber production to the finished product, is environmentally friendly. If you want to learn more, check out this short video here.
Rosarinho is already showing off her Caramelo vest! As tradition would have it, the Winter Knit Along garment is always presented by the brand's mascot, who already has an impressive wardrobe! In 2023, she started the year off with the Doce Cardigan and the year before that with the Azul Sweater.
For the mascot's vest, Filipa Carneiro chose the color 09. We're sure it wasn't an easy choice since Bio-Wool is available in 30 colors, and all of them are beautiful!
To participate in the Winter Knit Along, you can join Rosários 4's Facebook group. In the group, you’ll be supported by the designer, tutorial videos, and it's a very active and motivating community.

Todos nós sabemos que existe o calendário gregoriano, onde o ano tem início a 1 de Janeiro, o calendário chinês, que este ano vai ter inicio a 10 de Fevereiro, e o calendário das tricotadeiras portuguesas, onde o ano se inicia a 6 de Janeiro, data em que tem início o Tricotar Juntos de Inverno, organizado pela Rosários 4 em colaboração com a designer Filipa Carneiro.
A marca Rosários 4 tem sido uma presença activa e inspiradora no nosso meio há mais de 40 anos, não só com a produção de fios de qualidade que acompanham as tendências, como também na criação de sentido de comunidade, criando eventos que se transformam em tradições partilhadas e aguardadas com entusiasmo.
O Tricotar Juntos de Inverno é exemplo desta capacidade de criar tradições. Pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, as tricotadeiras podem contar com um modelo novo para começar o ano.
Este ano, a peça do Tricotar Juntos de Inverno é o Colete Caramelo, um colete “oversized” com um painel frontal de torcidos trabalhado com o Bio-Wool, um fio 100% lã biológica de grossura média. O Bio-Wool vem em novelos de 50 g com 82 m, com certificação GOTS, que faz parte da gama Ecofriendly Collection.

Para o colete da mascote, Filipa Carneiro escolheu a cor 09. Acreditamos que não tenha sido uma escolha fácil, porque o fio Bio-Wool tem 30 cores e todas elas muito tentadoras.
